More specifically, playing football allows children to work on their balance, coordination, flexibility and speed while strengthening their hearts, lungs and skeleton.
The physical benefits are diverse and welcome, but it is on the psychological level that football is indispensable, as this team sport allows the development of relationships outside the school context and based on other requirements such as physical performance, the role in the team and the importance of teamwork. These requirements allow children to acquire qualities in areas that are very important for their development.
Children who have pursued team sports from an early age are more likely to show traits such as confidence, independence, decisiveness and mutual support.
