Celebrate girl footballers on International Women’s Day

Here at InterSoccer we don’t believe there is anything boys can do that girls can’t – and especially not playing soccer.

Today on International Women’s Day we would like to celebrate the thousands of girls who have played football with us through the years by offering 10% off all bookings for our girls only courses. Use the code GIRLSROCKFOOTBALL when making your booking – and don’t forget we offer a FREE TRIAL for anyone who wants to come along and see what’s it’s like.

Girls only football courses in Switzerland

We have been running girls only football courses in Switzerland since we started in 2007. Our weekly girls courses take place on Wednesdays in Versoix from 16h15 to 17h45 and on Sundays in Mies and Cologny from 10h30 to 12h – all open to girls from age five to 12 (they will be separated into age groups).

While we advise that girls can play with boys any time they like in our many mixed courses, we realise that some girls prefer to play in a single sex group, especially when they are just starting out, and we pledge to keep this option open.

17,500 women football players in Switzerland

In the world of sports, women’s football is the biggest it has ever been and is not slowing down.
Women’s football today is the largest female team sport with over 2.95m players, of which approximately 17,500 are here in Switzerland.
Football was traditionally – and erroneously – seen by many as a masculine sport until as late as the 1970s. Since then, women’s football has grown in popularity and in participation, and although still not quite at the scale of men’s football, the sport is heading towards more of a level playing field as more and more women start to establish themselves, including as referees and coaches as well as players.

Girls only football courses – book your place!

InterSoccer believes that all children should be granted the same sporting opportunities – girls and boys of all ages, all abilities, and all levels of experience.
We intend to continue to boost female participation in football by ensuring girls are offered the same chances as boys through our camps and courses.
As well as introducing or building on skills and techniques, we aim to enhance girls’ confidence in football in order for them to develop in the sport, without letting anyone tell them otherwise.
To reserve a place on one of our girls courses, please visit the InterSoccer booking website.
To book a free trial, email with your name, phone number, the name and birthdate of your daughter, and the location, date and time of the course you want to try.

Girls only football summer camps

We also offer girls only soccer summer camps in the Geneva area of Switzerland. When making your holiday camps booking, choose the option for girls only camps.
